Thakadu is in a prime location, a mere 3km from Ghanzi, offers a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility.
Thatched Chalets
On raised platforms looking towards the waterhole which is floodlit at night, there are options here of 2 x ¾ beds or double beds, family rooms that can be interconnected or rooms with a double bed and a single bed for children under 12 years which is ideal for small families.
All these en-suite rooms come with air conditioning or heating, amenities for tea and coffee, fridges and a spacious veranda to sit and watch the pristine surrounding veldt.
En-Suite Meru Tents
In the style of Luxury safaris of years gone by, these canvas walled rooms let you sleep under canvas but with the comforts of raised platforms with spacious en-suite rooms with 2 x ¾ beds, amenities for coffee and tea, air coolers
and fan. You can also enjoy the large veranda or braai place outside. All of these rooms are nestled in the bush on their own for tranquility and are frequently visited by a variety of birds and animals.
Campsites
Campsites Each campsite surrounds an ancient leadwood tree that provides welcome shade. Each site has running water, electricity, plug points, a light for the campsite and a braai place.
Campsites are situated separately from one another for privacy but all within close distance to the 2 ablution blocks that always have hot water. Wood is available and we are always here to lend some ingredients, pots or pans!
We have extra large combined campsites for large groups and overlanders and also have a secluded campsite 200 meters from the lodge for a secludedexperience for the more adventurous!
